George Peterkin Unseld - 1881-1962
This painting is typical of Unseld's work, as he loved to paint to Wasatch Mountains. A math and physics teacher at West High, Unseld was originally from West Virginia, he became a well known Salt Lake City oil painter of landscapes and portraits. The scene here done in 1944 is of Kessler Peak from Reynolds Flats in Big Cottonwood Canyon.
